What we offer, in plain terms
Medical Weight Management
Medical Weight Management is a comprehensive, evidence-based healthcare program
designed to support healthy, sustainable weight management through individualized
medical care, nutrition counseling, physical activity recommendations, lifestyle
modification, and prescription medications when clinically appropriate. Unlike fad
diets or one-size-fits-all approaches, treatment focuses on individualized care using
evidence-based strategies to support long-term weight management.
Who may be a candidate?
Medical Weight Management may be appropriate for individuals who:
- Have obesity (BMI ≥30)
- Have overweight (BMI ≥27) with weight-related medical conditions
- Have experienced weight regain after previous weight loss efforts
- Have difficulty achieving weight loss through lifestyle modifications alone
- Are interested in medically supervised weight management
- Have weight-related health concerns that may benefit from medical evaluation
Medications, when clinically appropriate
When clinically appropriate, treatment may include FDA-approved prescription
medications and other evidence-based therapies. Examples may include:
These medications may support:
- Appetite regulation
- Healthy portion control
- Healthy eating habits
- Adherence to a reduced-calorie nutrition plan
Prescription medications, including GLP-1 receptor agonists and dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor
agonists, may not be appropriate for every patient. Successful long-term weight
management requires ongoing lifestyle modification, including healthy nutrition,
regular physical activity, and continued follow-up with your healthcare provider.
Supporting healthy weight management
- Adequate protein intake to support lean muscle mass
- Resistance and strength training
- Regular physical activity
- Healthy nutrition
- Hydration
- Sleep optimization
- Long-term maintenance strategies
Fat Dissolving Injections
Fat dissolving injections are prescription injectable treatments that may be used to
improve the appearance of localized areas of unwanted fat in appropriate candidates.
Depending on the treatment area and product selected, these injections work by
targeting fat cells, which are gradually cleared by the body’s natural metabolic
processes over time.
Deoxycholic acid treatments. Deoxycholic acid is an injectable
treatment used in appropriate candidates to improve the appearance of localized fat.
Depending on the product selected and treatment plan, one or more treatment sessions
may be recommended.
Common treatment areas
- Submental fullness (“double chin”)
- Jawline (selected candidates)
- Small, localized areas of unwanted fat (selected candidates)
Candidacy
Not all patients are candidates for fat dissolving injections. Certain medical
conditions, pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin infections, bleeding disorders, or
other factors may affect eligibility.
What to expect
Appointments take approximately 30–45 minutes. Temporary swelling is expected
following treatment and is a normal part of the healing process. Changes in the
appearance of the treated area develop gradually over several weeks. Multiple
treatment sessions are commonly recommended.
Downtime is minimal, and most patients return to normal activities within 24–48
hours. Temporary side effects may include swelling, bruising, tenderness, firmness,
redness and temporary numbness, which improve over several days to several weeks,
although swelling may persist longer in some patients.
L-Carnitine Injections
L-Carnitine injections are intramuscular wellness injections containing L-carnitine, a
naturally occurring compound involved in normal fatty acid transport and cellular
energy metabolism. L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring compound synthesized from the
amino acids lysine and methionine. It plays a role in transporting long-chain fatty
acids into the mitochondria, where they participate in normal cellular energy
metabolism.
May support
- Normal fatty acid metabolism
- Normal energy metabolism
- Normal cellular function
- Active lifestyles
- General wellness and overall well-being
- Nutritional support as part of a medically supervised weight management program
What to expect
Appointments typically take less than 10 minutes, with little to no downtime.
Temporary side effects may include mild soreness at the injection site, minor
bruising, redness, tenderness and gastrointestinal upset.
Skin Lightening Treatment
Skin lightening treatment is a professional cosmetic procedure designed to improve the
appearance of uneven skin tone and discoloration in appropriate candidates. Treatment
may be recommended for areas affected by friction, post-inflammatory discoloration,
sun exposure, or natural variations in pigmentation.
Common treatment areas
- Intimate areas
- Underarms
- Bikini line
- Inner thighs
- Elbows
- Knees
- Other areas of localized discoloration, as determined during your consultation
Candidacy
Not all patients are candidates for skin lightening treatment. Certain medical
conditions, pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin infections, impaired wound healing,
recent sun exposure, or other factors may affect eligibility.
What to expect
Appointments take approximately 30–45 minutes, and most patients return to
normal daily activities the same day. Results develop as gradual improvements in the
appearance of skin tone over several weeks, and multiple treatment sessions are
commonly recommended. Temporary side effects may include mild redness, dryness, skin
sensitivity, temporary peeling or flaking and mild irritation.
